- Essence of 2011 Week of the Young Child
Learning Care Group provides care services and early education to young children. 16 weeks to 13 years old children are facilitated with education and complete care through portfolio brands i.e. Childtime, La petite, The Children’s Country yard, Tutor Time and Montessori Unlimited. Learning Care Group, Inc. operates above 1,000 schools across 36 states. Learning Care Group, Inc. will host Open House events at La petite, The Children’s Country yard, Tutor Time and Childtime on 14th of April from 4:30p.m to 7:30p.m. Portfolio brands of Learning Care Group, Inc. have planned to make this week special through classroom activities and other special programs.
This festivity began on 10th of April will continue till 16th of April 2011. NAEYC has designed themes and Subthemes for 2011 week of the young child. The main theme is “Early
Years are learning years” and subthemes are; Where Learning Begins, Embracing Diversity, Teaching and Teachers matters, Encouraging Health and Fitness, Investing in Young Children Benefits All, and Prevent the Achievement Gap. Chief Marketing Officer of Learning Care Group, Inc. Stacy DeWalt said, “As educators, we are constantly reminded of the amazement and wonderment of children. We are truly privileged to be a part of their lives and help lay the foundation for learning. Children are worth celebrating and there is no better time than during Week of the Young Child”.
Learning Care Group celebrates young children with NAEYC and this year both are celebrating the 40th anniversary of this week. NAEYC is the official sponsor of this celebration. National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the largest association for childhood education.
NAEYC has planned some programs and activities i.e. sports, art and cooking sessions and school readiness activities for week of the young child. This festivity has lots of stuff for families; they can win a chance of “A year of free tuition” by a simple registration process. Barbara Beck, CEO said, “For over 40 years, Learning Care Group has been dedicated to the highest quality care and education. In observance of this special week, we also honor our dedicated educators that enable our children to have a safe learning environment everyday”.
