Kroger and P&G have teamed up with USO (United Service Organizations) Honoring our Heroes campaign to support American troops and their families. Kroger has planned to donate US $250,000; this donation will help USO to deliver different services and programs to troops and their families. Being a non profit organization, USO always strives to perform its mission and manage unique campaigns efficiently and effectively. Through the support and help of P&G and Kroger it will be more than possible for USO to accomplish its “Honoring our Heroes” campaign successfully.
CEO of P&G Bob McDonald said, “Our commitment to the military men and women who serve dates back to the Civil War where we supplied the Union Army with soap and candles. This commitment continues today with our dedicated Military team. Leveraging a strategic relationship with the USO enables us to connect our brands to American service members and their families while touching and improving their lives. We are excited to grow and develop this strategic relationship with the USO and our retail partners.” Bob McDonald pointed towards Kroger as one of its retail partner. Kroger is the largest grocery retailer and this year it has started a year long program to hoist funds for American troops and their families.
P&G and Kroger honoring our heroes USO campaign is kind of philanthropic mission. 2011 is the 70th anniversary year of USO, contribution, support and help of several other brands like P&G and Kroger made possible for USO to successfully run its campaigns. Sloan Gibson, President of USO said, “It’s with great honor that we welcome Procter & Gamble to our distinguished platform of corporations who demonstrate their tremendous commitment to supporting our troops and their families. We look forward to expanding this partnership and creating great programs for those Americans who need our support the most.”
