NFL Coach Sean Payton Pledges to End Relationship Violence, Payton along with the above mentioned associations took the LIVERESPECT pledge on 11th of October to end teen relationship violence.

Other than Sean Payton many NFL players i.e. Chris Canty (New York Giants), D'Brickashaw Ferguson (New York Jets), Jeremy Zuttah (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Tra Thomas (Philadelphia Eagles) and David Caldwell (Indianapolis Colts) also join the rank in LIVERESPECCT pledge. NFL linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, Frank Zombo said, “A healthy relationship is built on respect – respect for your boyfriend or girlfriend – and respect for you. If we can increase and promote healthy relationships, we will prevent relationship violence.”

Verizon Foundation president, Rose Stuckey Kirk said, “The
NFL players do an amazing job talking to teens and getting them to understand why it’s important to commit themselves to healthy relationships, but we knew we had to do more. As part of Training Camps for Life, the Verizon Foundation funds A CALL TO MEN to go back into participating schools with a healthy relationships curriculum designed specifically for these teens so that we produce real and lasting change.”

A CALL TO MEN is committed to educate and create awareness among the students of high schools through different educational programs.  Co-founder of A CALL TO MEN Ted Bunch said, “Teens are an exceptionally vulnerable group – 1 in 3 teens experience violence in their relationships – higher than adult women or men. But because 85 percent of victims of violence are women, we focus on educating men and boys about healthy relationships and breaking down cultural influences like hip-hop music and advertising to achieve a more balanced and equal society.”
